ROCKWELL

NATIONAL SPOT FOR ROCKWELL TOOLS

Pouring rain, gale force winds and a worker dangling off an oil rig in the middle of the North Sea. It’s not an action movie. It’s the latest spot from BIG MACHINE for Rockwell Tools!

BIG MACHINE Director Steve Petersen captured the drama on a soundstage in LA and the BIG MACHINE VFX team turned an already exciting sequence into an epic, death-defying thriller.

BIG MACHINE worked around the clock to create ocean wave simulations, pelting rain, lightning and a full CG oil rig. The worker was shot over green screen and composited into the CG scenes.

DRAWSOME TABLET

NATIONAL SPOT FOR UBISOFT

BIG MACHINE directed, shot, edited, designed and animated this playful spot for the Ubisoft Drawsome Tablet for Wii. All of the floating design elements are inspired from the 2 games the system ships with:  Drawsome Artist and Drawsome Sketch Quest.

The spot showcases the creative potential of the Drawsome tablet and its ability to share that fun with up to 4 players.

Director Steve Petersen worked with the talent to imagine gameplay that didn’t really appear on the screen.

DANCEGIVING

NATIONAL SPOT FOR UBISOFT

Just Dance is a Thanksgiving tradition for families everywhere — at least that’s what we want you to think with this latest national spot from Ubisoft directed by BIG MACHINE.

Three different families show how to let loose and have fun dancing to, in this case, “The Final Countdown.”

Yes, the girl in the first family is Jordyn from Abby Lee Miller’s Ultimate Dance Competition.

This is one of several Just Dance spots that Big Machine has directed for the number one dance game brand.

THE BOSS

NATIONAL SPOT FOR QUIBIDS

While his employees are hard at work, this overzealous boss is hardly working.  He’s spending his days online, battling other users for the best deals on auction site Quibids.com.

BIG MACHINE director Steve Petersen directed this comedic homage to the TV series “The Office.”  The spot was a mix of scripted lines and extemporaneous outbursts by the actors, creating a documentary feel.

Handheld cameras and docu-style editing also make the spot feel like a scenario that could be happening a couple doors down from your office.
